Robert Roy Kruse, 73, a dedicated resident of Cambridge, MN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Robert was born on September 11, 1950, in North Branch Township, Minnesota, to Victor and Helen (Norton) Kruse. He was preceded in death by his great-grandson Ryden Kruse, siblings Esther Gabrielson, Hazel McIntyre, Sonny Kruse, and nephew Randy McIntyre.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Melody, and their sons, Scott (Judy) Kruse of Stanchfield, and Shannon (Jackie) Kruse of Grasston. He leaves behind a rich legacy through his seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his siblings: Gerald (Janice) Kruse of AZ, Steve (Becki) Kruse of Harris, Carol Lindstrom of North Branch, and Michael (Carol) Kruse of Isanti. He was also cherished by his dear friend and neighbor, Joan Sauter of Cambridge, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Robert was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He exemplified the value of hard work, instilling the same ethic in his family members. However, he also believed in the importance of enjoying life to the fullest. Whether it was participating in demolitions, hosting his son’s high school wrestling team, or bonding over hunting stories, Robert embraced every moment with enthusiasm and laughter.
His garage was a hub of activity, from auto body work to nurturing stray animals that found their way into his care. He had a passion for the outdoors, whether it was hunting, farming, or simply enjoying a cold drink with friends.
Robert's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his zest for life, and his ability to find joy in even the simplest moments.
Though Robert may no longer be with us in person, his legacy of hard work, laughter, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
